Full-length box section frame rails — TITAN’s frame rails are box-sectioned (enclosed on all four sides) for their full length to provide added strength for heavy-duty use and to help reduce noise, vibration, and harshness. Tundra’s frame is boxed only in the front section of the vehicle.

Available Utili-track® bed system that includes floor channels — TITAN’s C-channels mounted in the reinforced cargo bed accept a variety of racks, dividers, and trays which enhances the truck’s versatility. Tundra offers a track system in the bed, but it does not include channels in the floor.

Available TITAN Box in-bed storage system (King and Crew Cab only) — TITAN offers lockable and removable storage compartments that can be placed along the side walls inside the bed, where they are not visible from the outside. They are accessible without having to remove a camper top. Tundra does not offer a similar system.

Available trailer light check system — The trailer light check system allows one person to check that all trailer lights are operational. The system can be activated inside the vehicle using the Advanced Drive-Assist® Display or from behind the trailer using the Nissan Intelligent Key fob. Tundra does not offers this feature.

Available Intelligent Around View® Monitor1 (I-AVM) (King and Crew Cab only) — TITAN’s available Intelligent Around View Monitor provides views to the front, passenger side, and rear, and a composite view from above, to help enhance visibility when parking. It also provides visual and audible warnings if a moving object is detected within the displayed monitor image. Tundra offers only a rearview camera.

What's new for 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Silverado carries over with the following changes:

  • Custom trim level is added to Crew Cab.
  • eAssist powertrain, a mild hybrid system that pairs a small electric motor with the 5.3-liter V8 engine, is available
  • on LT and LTZ Crew Cab.
  • Backup camera is now standard on all models.

KEY TITAN ADVANTAGES OVER THE SILVERADO 1500

 

More sophisticated engine (DOHC vs. pushrod V8) — TITAN’s double overhead cam, 32-valve engine design enhances performance and engine efficiency by providing direct actuation of intake and exhaust valves. Chevrolet Silverado uses a less sophisticated overhead valve (pushrod) design with 16 valves.

Available 110-volt power outlet in cargo bed — TITAN offers a 110-volt power outlet on the left side of the cargo bed for easy access. Silverado has no power outlet in the cargo bed.
